Anexo:Máximos anotadores de la División I de baloncesto de la NCAA
La competición de baloncesto se viene disputando en la División I de la NCAA desde 1936, aunque hasta 1947 no se reconocieron oficialmente las estadísticas de anotación. Estas se recogen anualmente en el National Basketball Committee Official Basketball Guide.[1]
Pistol Pete Maravich, de LSU ostenta los récords de anotación en una carrera (3.667 puntos) y de promedio (44,2 por partido).[2]
Alguno de los jugadores en la lista de los 25 máximos anotadores han entrado en la misma a pesar de que cuando jugaban no existía la línea de tres puntos, oficialmente instituida en la temporada 1986-87. Hank Gathers, de Loyola Marymount, es el único jugador incluido en la misma que, jugando en la era de los tres puntos, no anotó ni un lanzamiento desde esa distancia. Hasta la temporada 2007-08, la línea, tanto para el baloncesto masculino como el femenino, estaba situada a 6,02 metros de distancia, que se amplió en esa fecha a 6,32 sólo para el baloncesto masculino.[3]
Cinco jugadores de la lista han sido incluidos en el Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame: Pete Maravich,[4] Oscar Robertson,[5] Elvin Hayes,[6] Larry Bird[7] y David Robinson.[8]

- ↑ La Big East Conference reconoce a Markus Howard, actualmente en su temporada senior en Marquette (2016-presente), como su líder anotador de la conferencia de todos los tiempos, usando el criterio de puntos anotados sólo en temporada regular. Hasta el 12 de febrero de 2020, Howard había anotado 1.408 puntos en partidos válidos para el récord.[42] Troy Bell, quien técnicamente es tercero en la lista con 1.388 puntos (también detrás de Lawrence Moten, quien anotó 1.405 puntos en los juegos de conferencia para Syracuse entre 1991-1995), ha anotado más puntos de carrera que Howard o Moten cuando todos los juegos se toman en cuenta.
