Andreas Kaplan (lahir 5 Oktober 1977) merupakan seorang profesor di Sekolah Bisnis ESCP, dengan spesialisasi di bidang transformasi digital, kecerdasan buatan, dan media sosial.[1][2] Kaplan dikenal sebagai salah seorang ilmuwan yang paling banyak dikutip dan berpengaruh di dunia.[3] Dengan beberapa artikel seminal dan 37 ribu sitasi di Google Cendekia,[4] Kaplan telah termasuk di antara 50 pengarang bisnis top dunia.[5]

Kehidupan

Kaplan besar di Munich, Jerman. Ibunya adalah Anneliese Kaplan (modiste) and bapaknya adalah Vincenc Kaplan (tukang kunci).[6]

Kaplan menjabat posisi Presiden Sekolah Bisnis ESCP, Sorbonne Alliance, Paris. Sebelumnya, dia berperan sebagai rektor yang bertanggung jawab terhadap kurang lebih 6000 mahasiswa di enam kampus Eropa (Berlin, London, Madrid, Paris, Turin, Warsaw). Sebelum bergabung dengan Sekolah Bisnis ESCP, Kaplan memulai karirnya di Sekolah Bisnis ESSEC dan Sciences Po Paris.[7]

Kaplan merupakan anggota pendiri Pusat Kekompetitifan Digital Eropa (ECDC). Dia termasuk dalam dewan St George's House (Windsor Castle),[8] dan anggota Dewan Penasihat Edukasi Eksekutif Universitas Kozminski.[9]

Pendidikan

Kaplan memegang gelar Magister Administrasi Publik dari École Nationale d'Administration, M.Si. dari Sekolah Bisnis ESCP, dan S.Si. dari Universitas Ludwig Maximilian Munich. Dia menyelesaikan Habilitation-nya di Sorbonne dan Ph.D.-nya di Universitas Cologne dan HEC Paris.[10].
