Otogiro

Otogiro adalah tipe dari rotorcraft didukung saat terbang oleh lift disediakan oleh rotor. Tidak seperti helikopter, rotor otogiro dijalankan oleh aerodinamik ketika terbang.

Otogiro ditemukan oleh Juan de la Cierva y Codorniu tahun 1919, dan melakukan penerbangan sukses pada tanggal 9 Januari 1923 di lapangan terbang Cuatro Vientos Airfield, Madrid, Spanyol.^[1]
