Romain Gary (diucapkan [ʁɔ.mɛ̃ ga.ʁi]; 21 Mei 1914 – 2 Desember 1980)[1] atau Roman Kacew (diucapkan [kat͡sɛf], dan juga dikenal dengan nama pena Émile Ajar) adalah seorang novelis, diplomat, sutradara film, dan penerbang pada masa Perang Dunia II. Dia satu-satunya penulis yang memenangkan Prix Goncourt dengan dua nama. Dia dianggap sebagai penulis utama sastra Prancis paruh kedua abad ke-20.[2][3][4] Dia menikah dengan Lesley Blanch tak lama setelah berpisah, dia menikah lagi dengan Jean Seberg.
