Konstantinos ("Kostas") Manolas (Grieks: Κωνσταντίνος ("Κώστας") Μανωλάς) (Naxos, 14 juni 1991) is een Grieks professioneel voetballer die doorgaans speelt als centrale verdediger. In februari 2024 verruilde hij Sharjah voor Salernitana. Manolas maakte in 2013 zijn debuut in het Grieks voetbalelftal.

Clubcarrière

Manolas speelde tot 2009 bij Thrasyvoulos Fylis. In de zomer van dat jaar werd hij echter aangetrokken door zijn oom Stelios Manolas, die bij AEK Athene technisch directeur was. In de Griekse hoofdstad tekende de verdediger voor de duur van drie seizoenen. Vanaf zijn tweede seizoen bij AEK was Manolas een vaste waarde in de defensie. In 2012 nam Olympiakos hem over. Die club nam hem transfervrij over en liet hem voor vier jaar tekenen. In 2014 nam AS Roma hem over, dat dertien miljoen euro voor hem betaalde aan Olympiakos en de Italiaanse club nam nog twee miljoen euro aan eventuele prestatiebonussen op in de overeenkomst.^[1] Binnen Italië maakte Manolas in de zomer van 2019 voor een bedrag van circa zesendertig miljoen euro de overstap naar Napoli.^[2] In januari 2022 keerde hij terug naar Olympiakos, voor tweeënhalf miljoen euro.^[3] Zijn terugkeer bij de Griekse topclub duurde acht maanden, voor hij overgenomen werd door Sharjah.^[4] In januari 2024 liet hij die club achter zich.^[5] Na een maand keerde de Griek terug in Italië, waar hij voor Salernitana tekende.^[6]

Interlandcarrière

Manolas debuteerde op 6 februari 2013 voor het Grieks voetbalelftal. Op die dag werd er met 0-0 gelijkgespeeld tegen Zwitserland. De verdediger mocht van bondscoach Fernando Santos in de basis beginnen en de volledige negentig minuten meespelen. Manolas speelde tevens mee tijdens een van de twee beslissende play-offwedstrijden tegen Roemenië, die bepaalden dat Griekenland naar het wereldkampioenschap voetbal 2014 zou gaan. Op dat toernooi speelde hij alle wedstrijden van Griekenland, waaronder de verloren achtste finale tegen Costa Rica.
