Butha-Buthe på Commons
Butha-Buthe er et av ti distrikter i Lesotho. Det ligger helt nord i landet og grenser til distriktene Mokhotlong i sørøst og Leribe i sør. Administrasjonssenteret er byen Butha-Buthe. Distriktet hadde 110 320 innbyggere ved folketellingen i 2006.[1]
Distriktet ble skilt ut fra distriktet Leribe og gjort til et eget distrikt.[2] Det har navn etter sandsteinsplatået der kong Moshoeshoe I forskanset seg før han tok tilhold i Thaba-bosiu i 1824.[3]
