The Song of Bernadette (film)

Bernadette'in Şarkısı, Franz Werfel'in 1941 tarihli aynı adlı romanına dayanan 1943 Amerikan biyografik drama filmidir . Jennifer Jones başroldedir ve Bernadette Soubirous’u oynamıştır. Film, Şubat ve Temmuz 1858 arasında kutsanmış Meryem’i gördüğü onsekiz rüyadadan sonra 1933’de azizleştirilen bir kadının hikâyesini anlatmaktadır. George Seaton tarafından yazılan bir senaryo, Henry King tarafından yönetilmiştir.

Filme konu olan roman son derece popülerdi, The New York Times En Çok Satanlar listesinde bir yıldan fazla zaman durdu ve listenin başında on üç hafta kaldı. Hikâye ayrıca Mart 1946'da Belasco Tiyatrosu'nda açılan bir Broadway oyununa dönüştürüldü^[1]
