Burton Richter

Burton Richter (22 Mac 1931 - 18 Julai 2018)^[1][2] ialah ahli fizik Amerika. Beliau mengetuai pasukan Pusat Pemecut Linear Accelerator (SLAC) yang bersama-sama menemui J/ψ meson pada tahun 1974, bersama pasukan Makmal Kebangsaan Brookhaven (BNL) yang diketuai oleh Samuel Ting yang memenangi Hadiah Nobel untuk Fizik pada tahun 1976. Penemuan ini merupakan sebahagian daripada apa yang dipanggil Revolusi November fizik zarah. Beliau adalah pengarah SLAC dari 1984 hingga 1999.
