Leslie Bricusse, OBE (d. 29 Ocak 1931 – ö. 19 Ekim 2021), İngiliz söz yazarı, besteci ve oyun yazarı.[1][2][3]
Yaşamı
Bricusse, 29 Ocak 1931'de Pinner, Middlesex, İngiltere'de doğdu. Londra'daki Üniversitesi Koleji Okulu ile ardından gittiği Cambridge'deki Gonville ve Caius Koleji'nden eğitim görüp mezun oldu.[4] 1952'de başladığı müzik kariyerini 2021 yılındaki ölümüne kadar sürdürdü. Doctor Dolittle, Goodbye, Mr. Chips, Scrooge, Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory ve Tom and Jerry: The Movie gibi yapımların içerik müziklerini hazırladı.[5][6]
Ses getirmiş; "Goldfinger", "You Only Live Twice" ve "Can You Read My Mind (Love Theme)" (John Williams ile) gibi parçaların sözlerini yazmıştır. Ayrıca Superman filminde yer alan "Le Jazz Hot!" adlı parçayı Henry Mancini ile beraber hazırlamıştır.[7]
Bricusse başarılı müzik çalışmalarıyla; 1968 ile 1983'te iki defa Akademi Ödülü ve 1963'te Grammy Ödülü ile mükafatlandırılmıştır. Oyuncu eşi Yvonne Romain ile beraberliğinden Adam adında bir oğlu vardır.[8]
Ölümü
Bricusse, 19 Ekim 2021'de Saint-Paul-de-Vence, Fransa'da yaşlılığa bağlı nedenlerden 90 yaşında öldü.[9][10]
